Morrowglass: A 10-Minute Retro Horror Game With Soft Narration

A traveler crosses six strange regions to retrieve a shadow swallowed by a bell. She talks to herself the whole way, quietly, working out the rules of a world that does not explain them. Morrowglass is a ten-minute 16-bit-style horror story with soft-spoken narration.

What Happens in Morrowglass

The journey runs through the Salt Vestibule, Bell Orchard, Rain Archive, Unmothered Stair, The Borrowed Lung, and the room where the bell remembers. Each area has its own logic and its own small wrongness. The narrator notices, comments, and keeps moving, which gives the whole piece the feel of a late-night playthrough by someone who is half talking to the game and half talking to herself.

The visuals are original pixel art with a CRT treatment, not footage from a real console release. The story is fiction, and the narration was written to sound like a person thinking out loud rather than a narrator performing.

About This Animation

Morrowglass is an original fictional game simulation and animation. The visuals are original pixel art, and the narration was created with AI-assisted tools; the voice is synthetic. It is not footage from an existing console game.
